Wine Tasting - Bodegas Olarra Cerro Añon Rioja Reserva & Lustau Amontillado Los Arcos Sherry

Jeez, what a long title, huh? Well it’s worth it.

Cerro Añon Reserva is a red blend from Rioja, Spain—and it’s a very special one at that. We always look forward to this wine every year, but this might be our favorite $15 wine from Rioja we’ve ever had. I’m telling you, don’t miss out on this one.

The second is a bit unusual. Most people don’t think of Sherry as a sipping wine, but at On The Rocks, we covet sherry as a lost art. The one Mac has opened for this tasting is an Amontillado sherry, meaning it’s very dry, a little tart, nutty, and even a little salty? Yeah, it’s weird. But it’s good-weird. Trust us. Better yet, it’s from Lustau, who’s widely regarded as one of the oldest and most influential Sherry producers in the world.

Come give ‘em a swirl—for reals.
